ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro is an extension for ArcGIS Pro that allows you to perform sophisticated spatial analysis and modeling, including customer and competitor analysis, territory design, target marketing, and site selection.
The ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro team started the year off big with the February 2023 release! With this release, we’ve included a lot of new features and enhancements. Check out our list below for all the details:
- Processing speed improvements for large-scale enrichments
- New Validate Territories geoprocessing tool
- Infographic and report enhancements and new features
- Statistical data collections now support BDS files
Processing speed improvements for large-scale enrichments
The ArcGIS Business Analyst team has continuously improved the processing speed for large-scale enrichments over the years. With this release, the processing speed is now up to three times faster than in the previous release, wow! This will allow your data retrievals and results to be faster than ever before.
New Validate Territories tool
With this new tool, you can save time by analyzing and validating a territory solution for any inaccurate territories. To use this tool, once you are done manually editing a territory solution, simply run the Validate Territory tool. You will be notified of any violations, which you must then review and resolve manually prior to moving forward. The tool will help analyze the territory solution for the following types of errors: attribute constraints, distance contraints, invalid geometries, barriers violation, and territory name.
Infographics and reports enhancements and new features
We made several changes and enhancements to our reports and infographics portfolio. Let’s take a deeper dive into each one.
Import ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App reports and infographic templates
Use the new Import Template workflow to import infographic and report templates that were created in ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App and run them locally through the ArcGIS Pro Summary Reports tool.
New Interesting Facts infographic panel
We couldn’t wait any longer! The Interesting Facts capability that you all loved in the ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App is now in ArcGIS Pro. This infographic panel reveals information about your site that is significantly different from other areas you have selected for comparison. By using this panel, you can visualize the distinguished facts about an area’s data in interactive infographic tables and word cloud.
Redesigned Territory Design report templates
You all have loved the constant improvements we’ve made to the ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro reports. With each release, we are constantly improving these reports to include clear information, articulating designs and readability for our users. Check out our new Territory Design report templates that have been redesigned with a modern look and feel.
Statistical data collections now support BDS files
Business Analyst data source (BDS) files are a type of custom data that is created with ArcGIS Business Analyst for ArcMap. Statistical data collections now support BDS files, which is essential to help you convert your old BDS files to the modern SDCX file format. By doing so, you can edit, maintain, and access your customer ArcMap data in ArcGIS Pro.
