July has come and gone (some time ago, at this point), but we're going to revisit and rundown the top posts on KDnuggets for the month.

Far and away the most popular post of July was Machine Learning Algorithms Explained in Less Than 1 Minute Each by Nisha Arya. Looking to get the ELI5 on some of the most popular algorithms? Get it here.

KDnuggets Editor Matthew Mayo shared a pair of well-received posts highlighting Python courses. The posts are Free Python Automation Course and Free Python Crash Course, the contents of which are self-explanatory. Both are from freeCodeCamp, and provide further evidence as to Python's popularity, and the desire to learn it, is with our readers.

Community contributor Josh Berry made a splash with his popular post The 5 Hardest Things to Do in SQL, in which he lays out 5 super-powered SQL queries in problem/solution format. Our readers can't seem to get enough quality SQL material month over month, with it being our second most popular learning topic after Python. Posts like this one by Josh are the reason why.

Our Assistant Editor, Abid Ali Awan, registered 3 posts in the top 8 for July, the first 2 being thematically similar. 16 Essential DVC Commands for Data Science and 12 Essential VSCode Extensions for Data Science both laid out a specific number of commands and extensions, respectively, and then delivered on the promise within. Great topics, great articles, great responses. The third, Parallel Processing Large File in Python, is an apt tutorial on how to accomplish something everyone will likely need to know at some point, if you are working in the Python ecosystem.

Finally, Benjamin O. Tayo contributed Linear Algebra for Data Science. Benjamin covers the basics of data science-related algebra in a concise post, with a focus on Principal Component Analysis, and finishes it off with a case study.

Here's the full list of the top 8 posts on KDnuggets for the month of July 2022. Note that all posts have been evaluated for total views in the first 14 days after initial publication.
